HOW TO DO LIGHT SMOKEY EYES FOR DAYTIME
Blog Article
Many women love the so-called "smokey eyes" makeup, that is, the very famous eye makeup that makes them intensely surrounded by dark eyeshadows and matching pencil and mascara; this makeup is nothing more than a modern reinterpretation of the famous eye makeup born in the 1930s...
Today I want to explain how to create a lighter smokey eye suitable for daytime , in fact the classic smokey eye is more suitable for evening makeup, precisely because of its intensity. This day version is softer but still very effective! Let's see how to make it:
The first step is to even out the base: go ahead with foundation or BB cream, concealer under the eyes and on facial discolourations, mattify and fix everything with powder. Ideal would be to apply an eye primer on the eyelids, in this way the smokey look we are going to perform will last all day!
Second very important step: intensify and fill, where necessary, the eyebrow line with a specific eyebrow pencil (or eyebrow eyeshadow): let's always remember that they are the frame of our gaze, and therefore fundamental for creating effective eye makeup.
Apply a brown eye pencil to the upper lash line, in the outer corner of the eye and lightly towards the crease of the eyelid, then blend it with a brush with stiff, compact bristles. Repeat the operation on the lower lash line, and blend again.
Apply a light brown eyeshadow (matte or slightly frosted) to your eyelid.
Slightly intensify the upper and lower lash line with a dark brown eyeshadow, applying it with a brush with stiff, compact bristles (pencil blending brush).
Blend the light brown eyeshadow towards the middle of the fixed eyelid, and add highlights using a cream eyeshadow to apply just under the eyebrows, in the final part towards the outside, and in the inner corner of the eye near the tear duct. This will create an effect of light and shadow that will illuminate your eyes in a clever way….
Apply the mascara, with a zig-zag movement starting from the root to the tip of the eyelashes, if you like the effect, also apply it on the lower lashes without overdoing it.
To finish the make-up, apply blush on the cheeks with the appropriate blush brush, and pass a thin layer of lip gloss over the lips, or alternatively trace the lip contour with a nude colored pencil and a light and natural lipstick. In fact, with smokey eyes you need to keep your lip makeup very natural.
Voilà, the daytime smokey eyes is ready! With this make-up you will be chic and natural at the same time to be able to face the day in the best possible way....
It can be made with other colors besides brown, for example grey, undergrowth green, burgundy: give space to your imagination!
